A bit about Alford....

Alford is a peaceful village in the heart of the Aberdeenshire countryside.  It is skirted by the river Don and the hills of Bennachie and Coreen. 

Alford has two museums, two country parks, many independent shops and cafes all within a few minutes walk of the Vale Apartment.

Alford is on the Highland Tourist Route and the National Trust Castle Trail and is within easy reach of Royal Deeside, Balmoral and  The Cairngorm Mountains.  The Vale is situated midway between the Rivers Dee and Don with plenty of  fishing beats on the Dee and the Don available.   

There are also many quality golf courses nearby and in the winter The Lecht and Glenshee are within reach for a days  skiiing.
